Popcorn Ceiling Removal in Etobicoke

Etobicoke's older lakeside communities carry real ceiling texture history. Mimico and Long Branch grew as a lakefront resort area in the early 1900s, filling in with 1920s-1940s brick homes and mid-century bungalows as the radial railway made the area commutable. The Kingsway took shape a bit earlier and more affluently: roughly 665 homes went up between 1924 and 1947, many grand Tudor Revival, Georgian, and Colonial styles on oversized lots. Further inland, Alderwood is dominated by 1950s-1960s bungalows and side-splits built quickly after the war to house the growing workforce.

Every Etobicoke project starts with a clear plan: what needs protecting, how long the job will take, and whether asbestos testing makes sense given the home's age. Once that's settled, we remove the texture with Festool dust-extraction sanding systems and finish the ceiling to a Level 5 standard — sanded smooth and fully paint-ready. We'll walk through all of this during your free on-site estimate.
